Massive Issues with Bambu Support Filament

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a massive problem with the support filament from Bambu. I’m using support for PLA as well as support for PLA/PETG. The absurd thing is that it has been working excellently for months.

I’ll post the settings as well. I haven’t made any changes to the settings.

Previously, the support material used to easily detach even from the smallest and narrowest grooves.

NOW, the support filament is sticking excessively to the main PLA print. I’m only able to remove the support material with extreme brute force, and even then, not always successfully.

It has merged so strongly that I can’t get it out of small grooves at all. This has already ruined several more complex print objects, and it’s extremely frustrating. I recently regenerated the silica gel in the AMS by baking it in the oven. After that, I stored the filaments, including the support filament, in the AMS with the regenerated silica gel for over 24 hours.

According to the hygrometer, the humidity in the AMS is currently 10%.

Still, there is NO improvement!!! Do you have any ideas? I’m really stuck.

Is nobody facing the same issues with the Bambu support filament?

Did you dry the filament, as well as the silica?

The various “for support” filaments are EXTREMELY hygroscopic and will show it quickly.

Yes I did that. I continued my prints by trying to playing with the z-distance. With 0,3mm instead of 0mm I can remove the support. Of course I make the surface of the print, which faces the support, much worse. But this some kind of compromise solution.

Anyway this is super frustrating.

Can a worn out nozzle be problem?

Have you tried just used PETG as a support layer for PLA, or vice versa? As you leave zero distance it comes out excellent.

I recently bought my first 500g of PLA support, used it once. BB default settings.
other filament was eryone super silk bronze. Print came perfect and it detached ridiculously good and all.

when I selected the filament for the interface, software asked me to set the settings etc. and I just clicked yes

(I did not dry the support filament, anyway arrived perfectly vacuumed)
