I usually print in PETG but noticed that a particular model would take 4 hours and 15 min when Generic PETG selected
If Generic PLA is selected its 3 hours and 11 mins
When Bambu PLA basic is selected it is 2 hours and 18 mins…
I know its all down to extrusion speeds etc, but double the time between PLA and PETG
Can someone explain to me why this massive delta "

The volumetric flow rate of PETG and PETG HF are likely different. That would be why one runs so much faster since the volumetric flow rate acts as a speed limiter when a lot of extrusion is needed.
Also note, Bambu can’t use every filament on the market for you and calibrate them. If you think it shouldn’t be that slow, run a test to figure out how high the Volumetric rate can actually go for your filament. If you do that single test, you should see the speeds you think that filament should be doing.
Personally, I run all filaments with the Bambu profile unless it proves it can’t keep up, through a poor print. But be sure to use the correct type, PETG for PETG, and PLA for PLA. You can’t use a PLA profile for PETG (or at least expect good things for it).
