Mechanical problems of printing with TPU on the A1 Mini

@AussieGrit it works great, thanks for asking. Do the mod and you will never go back.

When you try my mod please give feedback

I’ve been testing the Creality tpu all weekend on my P1s. I’m glad you found a solution! I had to roll the tpu out in two foot runs by hand until my 5hr print was finished. I noticed that the tpu actually stuck together ever so slightly, that created too much drag and caused major under extrusion. The PTFE tube sitting at angle that wasn’t ideal either. I appreciate this thread. I’ll have to get to work to design something that creates more efficiency!

hey ricaxe, can u share the profiles used for printing soft TPU?

your mod gives great improvement… but i feel my profiles aren’t good enough for TPU softer than 85a

I use this spool holder on my A1 mini with printed bearings and run without the boden tube and I print fine without any mods

I’ve solved tpu under extrusion issue with this design “Lowest Friction Spool Holder Accessory for A1 Mini” I’ve made by my self. It’s a big bearing with conical ends that use the longest force arm and lowest friction for any spool, specially for elastic filament.
