Messy curves on undersides?

I’ve printed two separate things that have a slight upward curve on the underside. And edge that in the past seems to have printed ok. But now I’ve had trouble with the print getting all screwy on that upward edge.

This is the model in question: Systainer Card Hook by nzspambot - MakerWorld

Being printed as the model loads into Studio. Supports only come part of the way up the underside.

Filament is basic PLA (tried two different rolls) and all other edges/surfaces look great. I’ve tried it on the left and right of the bed, turned 90, and it made no difference.

Only change recently was updating Bambu Studio?

It is not the first time a new studio version ruins what worked fine in the past to address issues we did not have.
Those edges of yours as much as several other problem areas in prints suffer from a combination of physical and solution related issues.

Stopping at the end of a line, going up or elsewhere or returning on the next layer right away comes with a lot of complex calculations.
Speed, acceleration, flow adjustments and then some.
For all those, or most of them, we can find settings in Studio to affect them.
Our problem is often that what we made work fine stops working with the Studio update…

First order of business would be to check the change log and list of improvements.
Sadly Bambu does not disclose how the setting are embedded in their 3MF files or how to convert/export just that part from existing 3MF files.
Otherwise all changes could be quickly compared by having two text flies side by side on the screen :frowning:

I reverted back to manual labour whenever I dare to try a new Studio version now.
Means to secure the old installation and the user folders in the various Windows locations first.
New version installed into a new folder to have it easier.
A test print or two with models I know have to come out fine and clean.
From there the digging starts to create new profiles to match the needs of the new Studio version.
I find this rather time consuming and avoidable but Bambu won’t budge here.
There isn’t even a way to export profiles or 3MF files to get a comparison when importing them later.
Sure you get the warning on the screen followed with the print and other settings that differ from what is currently in use in Studio.
But it’s either or - either you accept all values from the 3MF file or all values from Studio, with neither highlighted after.
Be careful when saving profiles after so you won’t accidentally overwrite vital default profiles…

Like with our phones and other digital helpers it comes down to updates requiring all else to match up.
With older 3MF files and newer Studio features, changes never really matching we have a problem…
