I’m studying Bambu Studio in anticipation of my new H2S. I wanted to see the parameter differences between the profiles for BBL PETG HF and BBL PETG Basic. It is only then that it occured to me that there are no filament profiles for BBL PETG Basic. I hunted around using different BBL machines, build plates, hotends, etc.
I also noted that there are no filament profiles for TPUs, and with one exception, for support filaments. I didn’t do a comprehensive search for what other Bambu Lab filament profiles are “missing”.
I have a question, then, about workflow. I want to, for example, specify a support filament in the Support tab of the process. How does one go about doing that? And for that matter, when you place the spool of Support for PLA/PETG in your AMS, which is supposed to be compatible with all AMS units, what exactly is the RFID reader going to read, and what will be displayed in Bambu Studio?
As a new user, I’m asking the broader question, how does one get going with a new filament when you don’t even have a starting base to go off of? I see that there is some information in TDSes. Some TDSes have more directly useful information than others. But, I wouldn’t have the first guess for something like, “Filament Ramming Length,” to name one parameter of many.
