The designer here, any particular question you want answered? For the optical bay, I can look into it in the future as an update. I’ll need to do some measurements.
You should be able to ask a question from the crowdfunding page without being a backer. Or you can just click my name there and message me directly on makerworld.
Even with my modern computers I built, it was so hard to find “cool” cases with optical bays. I think direct SATA connections work better than USB optical drives, plus that doesn’t have to be hung on the computer. I guess I am old fashion; I like a BR/DVD drive in my computer - lol. It doesn’t get used much, but it’s nice to have.
Is this for more than a mini-itx MB, although I do have a C64SX (mini-itx/PS built in to an old commodore 64 case) I built in 2024, that I am thinking of tearing apart and rebuilding in an actual case.
Also, a case that can be built, possible for a retro-computer will need a 5.25”/3.5” Bay. 5.25” bays would probably be good enough. I am planning to make a Windows 98/ME system sometime in the next year. I can get plenty of cases, but I would love to 3D print my own. Front panel modification for two 5.25” bays would be cool. It does look like it may be a bit cramped for that. You could go a little bigger for those of us that have H2S size printers.
You suggest PTEG. I seem to be having issues with PTEG With my H2S. It does print ABS very well. PTEG is more flexible though? ABS can be more brittle?
