Model Request: Printer and AMS

Many of us develop accessories for printers.

Would be great to have official 3d files of printers and AMS.

Thanks

That’s actually a great idea!

It really is - there are at least two different bases for the AMS and you have to design for both if making stands/bases. It would be nice to have that all formalized so people can design appropriately.

While not exactly what you want here is the step file for the P1P. The frame is essentially the same between the model lines (no a1 series)

File is at the bottom of the page before the comments.

That’s not what i am talking about

That’s exactly what your talking about. If you mean something else then please elaborate. These files are the cad files directly from Bambu, and the only ones available at all.

I can’t see:
• Ams
• X1
• A1 Mini
• A1
• Ams lite

Cad files

Not available.
The X1 is the same frame as the P1 series.

You could contact BL and ask for CAD files for the A1 series.

AMS Lite https://grabcad.com/library/bambu-lab-ams-lite-1

Found the AMS lite with a quick google search. The P1/X1 were located in the wiki.

Thanks (really) but he wants accurate CAD files. And this is obviously not.

But I doubt BL will ever provide those CAD files. They’ve done it for the P1P because it’s a naked printer and they were counting on the community to build nice enclosures.

I’m kinda tired of this one.
He asked for files to make accessories, and I gave him what was available. Accurate, inaccurate, that’s what is available. Anything else will have to be created.

I’m quickly getting to the point I’m losing intrest in this board.

Don’t take it too seriously then. If you feel it’s turning in circle don’t waste more time on it.
Some will never be grateful about the time you spend to answer their questions. It’s just not worth it

STP/STEP is more or less just as good as a CAD file.

If op can’t work from an STP/STEP file OP has other problems than locating the files.

I can’t design anything but I love downloading anything and practically everything that looks good or improvement for my printer Heck yea this needs a place of its own. My fav so far is just a simple sign Replicator USS Enterprise

As many noted this is IMHO as well, a really great idea, as an ex-software developer/ engineer, I think opening up the logic and API board data for the ports of all the machines could also bear fruit. For example (pie in the sky) someone crafts a method of using an AMS 4 port hub like method of stacking / chaining even on the A1. If we crafted a pause for conflict, two X1’s could share 4 AMS units, both getting the 16 colors, and still probably be mostly full uptime. On another note, I watched a plate conveyer belt add-on for an A1 mini and other robotics, that would be even cooler with mods to software / firmware to drive it, from the central process. etc.

That would be awesome. I had to use a third-party A1 mini model and I guess it was good enough, but I’d feel safer with an official one.

I went ahead and posted the P1P and AMS STEP files to Makerworld (P1P Frame and AMS CAD Files (.step files) Remixed by Akelyte - MakerWorld) because for some reason Bambu ONLY uploaded them to the wiki and not Makerworld?

Thank you for sharing your process on those files. I had hoped your work would help the OP, but I guess not.

That was a lot of work to provide that. Thank you for your time and effort.

Makerworld didn’t exist at the time, as well it’s supposed to be for print files, not CAD files.
