Model to slice change

I am trying to print a map from map 2 model site. The map size is 1600x1200mm and consists of 48x 200x200mm plates.

Shared models are 2 identical pieces from the full print, where layers 1-7 are pure white and layers 8-10 are pure blue.

The issue I am encountering is that when fixing manifolds or slicing on these models the model breaks in one case and other it stays intact.

What happens? After fixing the error of manifolds, the 2nd plate loses part of its layer on 8-10.

When slicing without fixing the manifold error on plate 2, the result is following in prepare view nothing changes:

The current example is based on these 2 plates, but still happens on different plates of the print as well.

Print is done with A1 0.2mm nozzle and 0.1mm High Quality nozzle print setting.

What are my options?

I’ve just taken a look at it in Blender and it’s beyond repair. It’s completely destroyed. Take a look at this: every black line represents a break or fragmentation. Normally, there shouldn’t be any black lines, except at the edges. This part actually consists of hundreds of individual pieces. What’s more, the layers aren’t even connected; it’s like floating slices of cheese.

And just so you know, that’s your other plate. It’s also ruined, but apparently not so badly that it’s unprintable, but it’s not any better.

You’ll need a better model. This one is simple to recreate with cubes but given the topic im assuming you see this same trouble on the complex pieces too.

Having taken another look at which website was meant, I have to revise my statement somewhat.

If used correctly, the tool creates good, clean 3D models. Having revised my statement, I would almost claim that this is a case of user error.

The only modification I have done to the full imported model is scaling of the model narrower from 1226mm to 1200mm and then cut it via Bambu Studio down to 200x200mm plates. I have done couple of other maps as well (800x800mm), where in one case modifying the blues(water) number in Smoggy tool had helped in this similar case.

In order to understand what I might be doing wrong, any guesses?

That was the mistake: the maps are not designed to be cut up in the slicer. If you want to do that, it’s almost essential to use a mesh programme that closes the cut edges properly.

So if you still have the original map, you should cut it in a mesh program like Blender. The map is simply too complex, and Bambu Studio definitely reaches its limits and makes mistakes.

To close the topic, I managed to solve this topic on my own without any other tools.

Just as we were discussing this topic here Smoggy3D had added grid option to the tool on 11.02.
