Models Missing from Categories - What's up with Makerworld?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having trouble finding all the models I’m looking for in the categories. It used to be so easy to browse through all the available options, but now it seems like many models are missing.

Even when I try to find more models by scrolling, there’s just not as many as before. It feels like Makerworld’s selection has been limited.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I wonder if it’s a technical problem or if there’s been a change in how models are displayed.

Is it because of the filter? - I think it’s because of the preset filter.

However, it’s kind of weird for the user experience.

It seems though the option to see less of a certain model is missing from my menu in the general model feed. They have a few updates happening at the moment and maybe its not fully synched. The account settings model preference option is there but I refuse to use any filters as they are next to pointless when a great many uploads are randomly placed and tagged to make it work.

I had the 30-day filter activated. To remove it, one can only select additional filters. A chronological order by publication date (which would be my standard view) is somehow available under the filter “newest models”.

Overall, the design is somewhat strange and not intuitive to use. And then it seems as if Makerworld only has a few models. If one has to search for a long time or think about how to make models visible, then that is not a good solution.

Something similar caught me out before.

One of my models was at the very of the trending page and each day I eagerly looked to see if it was still at #2.

One day, it’s gone, what, why, who, lots of thoughts went through my mind as to why my model would suddenly fall so far.

It turned out to be as simple as the default trending view was 7 days and my 15 minutes of fame was on the 8th day, so it was showing exactly as it should.
