You can always spot members of the “articulated limb boyz” by the threats they use… like, “Thats a nice pair of legs ya got there, it’d be a real same if they became articulated”

You’d be amazed to find out that it’s a problem in real life too. Some places are even denying reports due to too many “boy cried wolf” events or fake-victims and that leaves people who actually are victims in a bad spot.
That’s been a thing since even before social media became a thing, and then it turned worse… The most vile ones I’ve seen were on reddit, but i’ve been told that pretty much every social media is riddled with such behaviour from terminally online hateful “folks”.
And to think I was shocked when @PrinterMcgee (i think it was him) pointed out user that stole model and then had the audacity to go into comments of the original model and say that the original one is repost… Then this comes along…

No, I don’t know who he is on Facebook. On TikTok I haven’t had any communication with him that I am aware of. I just blocked FDM on there as soon as I saw he had starting following me yesterday. I had zero contact with him. On Patreon, I didn’t comment on any of his posts, just banned him and deleted his comments after taking screenshots of everything. I replied to a few of his messages yesterday that he had sent before I caught on to what was going on. I did tell him to remove the link to my MW page on his Patreon account through the MW messenger.
The weird thing is he’s one of the multiple people that messaged me about Mulletman420 but it was like 3am my time and then he messaged me later and in his message it seemed like he was accusing me of being Mulletman420. He had blocked me on MW so I couldn’t respond, so I looked him up on printables. This is all I said. Then I found out about the Patreon link and I replied.
He said something like “keep talking, I’m connecting the dots” then deleted his message. He then unblocked me and started blowing me up on the MW messenger Ive got screen shots of the entire thing. He messaged me about 38 times, I replied 6 times. And this is 4 of them before I knew what was going down.
I don’t know the whole thing is just weird.

And that “hitlist” of 30 Makerworld profiles is just a search for “articulated legs” and then put everything in a collection.
I’m so annoyed, accusing me, reporting me to the “Australian Signals Directorate”, shaming me by putting me on a “Makers to avoid”-list…
All without even asking me a single thing, or even telling me what the issue is.

I think that’s just how these people operate. He accused me of harassment, but he’s the one harassing me. I didn’t find out what he was upset about with me either. I’ve just been blocking him on every platform he’s been popping up on.

Reading his stuff comes off as if he’s suffering a crisis.
I don’t believe it. If anything it’s a stupid half-assed attempt to throw others off the trail, as if there’s jail time involved. Worse case for him is happening. He can’t post without his stuff being under a spotlight. His own doing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Mulletman or whoever are socks. I don’t know that, but it reads similar to others I’ve seen.
The threats are amusing. As if it’s him agains 40 other makers, and of course they’re all stealing from him. He may be in crisis given he’s doing the opposite of what he should do.
I’m leaning towards him (or her, equal opportunity) knowing he’s in the wrong. Guess he figured linking directly would hide in some way. He could charge for files and link to you to get them. You get the downloads and he get’s the patreon? That doesn’t even make sense.
My vote is for a kid that just made a major oopsie. The response is just to immature to be anything else.

Well, Inevitable Designs aka “Chloe Munro” tagged me in a Facebook post. I just checked Patreon and Chloe was the name associated with the Inevitable Designs account there.
Here’s what she/he or whoever tagged me in as well as her profile.
Now that I know who she is, I’m blocking her there too.
The thing I find most entertaining about the whole stolen model debate that circulates around the 3D printing community, is the fact that the types of the most “stolen” models tend to have corresponding on-line tutorials. Need to make an articulated dragon? Or add articulated legs to any object? Just search YouTube and one can find a step-by-step tutorial using whatever design software one might be using. Want to design the latest in fidget toys? There are on-line step-by-step tutorials for those too.
I would not at all doubt that two or more designers could produce nearly exact models independently of each other, even using different design software, given the nature of on-line tutorials. Articulated legs are in the public domain. I highly doubt a claim of copyright infringement on a 3D printed articulated model could ever be supported in a court of law.

How do they say someone is targeting them in one sentence, then, “please show them this because they’re blocking me everywhere” in the next sentence?
This is shaping up to be better than police quarrels.

Yep thats me, ive had the same type of messages, but its all just links, to my store page. Ive had them message a phyical shop i sell items in, and thrn spam my website with contact messages all whilst using the physical stores phone number as the contact as well.
Someone needs some help it seems.
