I know there’s no eta for US but is it fair to assume it will take longer than March? Ie. should my Canadian friend buy 2 or am I better off waiting?
Separately i have ability to do logistics and fulfillment in us with some bulk shipping prices through carriers and such. Have other options too if i can help on that front. Happy to support a cool project.

Until it got to the U.K. then used our national carrier Royal Mail.

I’m not sure how you can steal a model that hasn’t been released to the public? The bed swap concept has been around for many years.

I would not blame this guy for stealing a model, because he didn’t. Persons who is skilled in CAD don’t need steal models, because when the functional principle blueprint is given it’s a straight forward way to replicate it. In my opinion, that this guy replicated almost any single idea and solution which was unique in swapmod compared to any system released earlier. According to Makerworld guidelines it’s allowed and I understand why - identifying and comparing functional features of models is a huge and obscure rabbit hole where no platform wants trap into. Is it ok doing it? This is a question that everyone should answer for themselves. In my personal opinion it’s not, because I know that figuring out such solutions takes way more effort then modeling a geometry and should be respected.

I won’t comment on the morality of a straight-out copy like this, but legally, if the design is not patented, it isn’t illegal to make a functional copy like this.

Got mine kit at 12/27/2024, 12h later first testrun finished without problems.
All parts printed fine. Used my P1S with sunlu petg, cause i have so much grey.
Parts from kit and public parts assembled like a charm together.
