Multicolor Slicing mixes colors of parts

Hi everyone,

I got a problem with a multicolor print, and any help is greatly appreciated.
When I slice the print the color of another part is sliced in the yellow cylinder, see screenshots. Only the last layer is yellow but this mixes with the blue.

Any Idea how to solve this so that the yellow cylinder has multiple yellow layers at the top and is not mixed with the other parts?
Both are separate parts that are colored.

Did you use the paint tool for coloring? That will cause interlocking features to be generated.

For part specific coloring, it is easier to use the object tree and right click on the part to assign a color.

Yes I did use the paint tool.

When using the object tree it now looks correct in the slicer.
Thank you so much!

Are there any other differences between the object tree and the paint tool I should know about when using it?

Well, a handy tip is that in the object tree, you can change the type of an object. Part, negative part and, very useful when wanting to make flush coloring Modifier.
Add that you can use that on text objects and of course also import and merge any stl, this gives many unique options not just for coloring.

Happy printing,
Eno
