It prints fine.
I have it with blue top and bottom and red in the middle.
Did not work, on the refresh.
Man… I don’t know what it could be. I tried updating the firmware, power cycling, and even switching the filament to the other spool port. It printed, but the colors didn’t switch. It completes the print as intended but doesn’t actually change colors.
Have you verified on the printers touch screen that the filament is loaded correctly and matches BS. Do you have white lights by those two spools?
If not try to resync with the printer and BAMBU Studio. ![]()
Yes I did verify and they matched. I resynced before but will try again. I just took out all filament, unplugged the ams, and powercycled the printer. I am using the above file and trying to print again in the next few minutes.
Even after taking out the filament and disconnecting the AMS. Then cycling the printer. Then reconnecting and setting things up it didn’t work.
Can you post a screenshot of the device tab, after slicing, but before printing?
I noticed the printer name is different in your print window. Is there more than one listed in the drop down?
When I loaded up the file. I did not print it.
I switched from global to objects in the prepare screen and all I see is one color of filament. Even tho @MalcTheOracle printed it correctly on his printer.
So the slicer only sees one color to print. At least it does in BS.
Still reaching for ideas! ![]()
The print finished a while, first chance to post some more pictures.
The only thing I changed was the target printer type.
It worked 100% without issues.
Looks the same to me.
It works for me too. I know this is probably a silly question but right now you have a roll of black PLA in slot 1 of the AMS and a roll of red PLA in slot 2 correct?
Correct, I started with a dark gray, and labeled it gray. Then I tried switching to the label as black. And all my trials afterwards, I switched it back to gray.
Could it be that it just can’t pick up the color that is between black and gray?
No, on that final screen before you send it to the printer it should print using the slots you selected even if the colors are off. This screen…
This is a real head scratcher…did you color the model in Bambu Studio?
Yes I colored in Bambu studio. I submitted a ticket now for this as .
If they have a solution for you please post here and let us know. Usually the problems posted here are ones we’ve seen before but this is a new one. The wild part is it’s not stopping or giving an error it’s just completing in one color.
Will do, that’s the part that amazes me is that it keeps printing in one solid color. Can one of you make a file of a cube painted two colors and export it. And I’ll put it through my printer to see if it works.
Would that be a possibility to try?
Here you go.

Can you load/unload (via the display) each of the filaments in the AMS?
