The design is fine and works well, which the other poster seems to miss.
Several of the roll film versions are in the hands of some very talented professional photographers who appreciate the results of a simple, effective design that is fun to use. This is the whole point of the design.
I find the camera more fun to use than my Pentaximus 6x7 and it challenges me when making images.
Well yeah, open as in CC0 might be a bit too open, but personally I would never go further than a CC BY-SA. After following the world of 3D printing since I heard about RepRap I recently bought my first printer (an X2D), and I don’t plan on making money with it. Running Linux for the last 25 years might also have something to do with my reasoning.
