What else can I do to convince the Bambu Studio slicer that I really don’t think these bridges need to be supported?
- My max bridge length is 9999mm
- The blue layer in the sliced image is clearly bridge - I have turned off the similar-colored “bottom surface”
- There’s a boatload of green tree support beneath the layer that’s acknowledged to be bridge
And it’s not just the darker-blue Overhang Wall that’s getting supported; if I strip away a few more layers, one can see green tree supports underneath the entire bridge:
I can’t paint no-support where I’d need it (can’t see the surface from any angle).
I probably could work something out with support blockers, or maybe turning off supports entirely - but if there IS something cantilevered I’d like to know.
Mostly, it bothers my sense of order that the slicer acknowledges it’s a bridge, yet insists on supporting it.
Side weirdness - the Support tab has a Don’t support bridges checkbox, but only when Enable support is cleared, and grayed out in that case. When supports are enabled, that checkbox disappears and seems to be replaced by the Max bridge length field.
