does it work in landscape mode? I can’t get any orientation on any device other than portrait.
After reading BTT’s latest statement about the Touch I’m a little surprised they put it in writing and thought it sounded good. They met some Bambu “C level executives” at a trade show and started communicating with them. The conversation “died off” and they no longer got responses. That’s where a normal company would have stopped… but they didn’t figure Bambu would mind so they proceeded. Then when you announce the product someone from Bambu contacts you and says that they are going to lock down the protocol and your product will no longer work at that point. This part made me laugh, “We were in a sticky situation. We had opened pre-orders for the Panda Touch and they were getting snapped up very fast”. So they opened pre-orders based on a product that they assumed Bambu wouldn’t have a problem with and they really hadn’t received any sort of approval on, even after being warned it wasn’t going to work at some point in time.
"To close, we would like to direct an open but personal message to those within Bambu Lab who we feel may have misunderstood our intentions in the past: We have met many of you as individuals on various occasions and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions. "
The whole statement sounds like a love letter to a girl you met at a party that has blocked you and has threated to get a restraining order.
It does not as best I can tell.
Not sure but as Handy is their mobile app it looks like it optimized to run in portrait mode only. But it is a Handy thing, not a Kindle thing as best I can tell as it doesn’t do landscape on my phone either. I am far from being an Android programmer but I think to run in landscape mode requires a programmer to create another set of pages that mimics each portrait orientation page and the code to detect the tablets orientation and load the correct page.
I don’t see why they would have a problem running Handy as you don’t get into any of the issues you get into with 3rd Party software. I’m in early stages of building a Raspberry Pi that will run the Linux version of Bambu Studio. That device will get parked at the printer. Let me rephrase that. I HOPE it will run Bambu Studio.
The Kindle is sort of a special case (because it’s a hybrid Android OS) but something like a Samsung Tablet is a jumbo sized smartphone.
Yeah, I thought the same thing.
Should be a warning to anyone about the Panda stuff.
I saw a vid where the “claw” (extruder housing) is like 1 gram less than the stock. 1g. Only benefit the reviewer could find was it would run cooler. I have over 2400 hours on mine and have yet to have the extruder overheat.
The branch. I don’t know what I was thinking. I already had a 2 outlet tap on mine that ran the lights and Bento Box. The thing was useless anyway. I was brain dead when I ordered that one.
The lux, as been stated, is just a wtf thing.
The Fur is for those that needed to reprint parts of their bedslinger to create a “theme”.
The only real winner it seems they’ve had is the plate, which is “Panda” simply in size.
Yeah. BL did everything but give them a fake number. That date wasn’t happening and BTT was too dense to realize it.
Now I will give them that, I bought several of the the gold Panda build plates on Aliexpress for around $13 each and the adhesion is great.
I ended up with the Wham Bam gold plate and haven’t really needed anything else. Might be because taking a break from ABS for a bit and have been focusing on resin.
So months after initially getting in contact about my issue, being told to pound sand, and then expressing my displeasure on FB, being told to contact someone twice, I finally got a reply.
It was a sincere apology and there was an offer of a refund made. I was encouraged by this.
That same day someone from support emailed about my paypal account number. Number? I assumed he was wanting my paypal email so I supplied it.
4 days no reply, nothing. I’m not going to bother any longer if this doesn’t come through. It’s been laughable since this started and any goodwill and benefit of the doubt I had has long gone.
I will stand by my opinion of BTT, BiQu. If you purchase something make sure it has no moving parts or electronics, and be sure you’re comfortable losing the money you spent.
Im trying to figure out the “PWR” part of it… do you need to buy a module in order to make it work? i get no readings and i upgraded to the 1.063ver firmware
You need to link the PWR and Touch. Can’t remember how but it’s along the lines of getting them close together.
