on 12 dec.2025 i have placed my order, now after a month it finally arrived but my bad surprise was when i unboxed the printer and saw signs of being assembled (used) before, the plastic housing was so deformed by overtightening that the screws couldnt pass trough the holes, scratches on aluminum support for Y axis rails, some kind of liquid stains,X axis belt not centered at motor side the extruder bearings making some strange noise…
Maybe send in a report to bambu lab about that cause that looks very used, if I were you I would do that and see if I could get a new one.
Here we go again.
There’s not enough Aspirin or bourbon.
Unboxing the printer i thought that was assembled for factory tests but i refused to believe this lack of professionalism from them so i have initiated a ticket and they immediately agree to change it,i was looking for posts from people who experienced the same issue and didnt find anything,i believe more people have received like that the printers without seeing those details
Just an idea, the most obvious one: read the hour counter? What does your hour counter say? ![]()
Settings > Device > Page 2
the counter was 0 ,i think that by factory reset you can reset the counter to,or not?
No. That’s not possible. It’s like the odometer in a car.
Maybe it’s all the printers that were destroyed several months ago for counterfit postage coming back like Postagegeist? They’re back…. Just kidding of course.
Regarding the two discoloured spots:
This is what it looks like when opened. This is the power supply with a metal housing. You can also tell by comparing the black rubber feet and drawing a line. I can’t see any component here that could cause exactly two parallel spots due to heat. It was probably caused by external influences.
Probably placed on something pointy during packing.
i’m new to 3d printing, this is my first printer, but i’m 41 and i work as automotive tehnician since i was 14,so I am very meticulous about details. One thing is very clear, the printer was assembled before and does not appear to have been done by a professional.
I can’t judge that. I can only give you my opinion.
It could be that someone placed the device on something pointed, or something went wrong during the moulding of the housing? However, I can tell you that your theory that it was heat from the device is unlikely because there is no heat source underneath that would produce two perfect points.
I can’t give you a perfect answer, only help you figure it out for yourself. For example, the device has not yet been in operation for any hours. This also applies to communication with the support team. For example, if you tell them it’s a used device, but the hour counter shows zero, this will raise many questions.
That something went wrong? Certainly.
On the other hand, speculation? I would be very cautious. Not because of us here in the forum, but so that you don’t lose credibility when dealing with support. ![]()
the two dots of the housing does not concern me ,what bothers me more are the signs of being assembled before ,the housing was so deformed that i had to force down the screw to pass through the plastic, destroyed threads of the plate this all are signs of a non profesional person overtightening those screws, its more when i pay for something to be new i have espectations
My suspicion: probably a Monday device assembled by a trainee who hadn’t coffee yet that morning. ![]()
Of course you want a perfect device, you’re entitled to it, you paid for it! However, that’s where the low price becomes apparent and where corners have been cut: Quality controll.
The lowest price was €349… now we know where they cut corners. When I think that ten years ago, such a device still cost around €1,000.
it’s very well documented by fotos and vids during the unboxing, that’s why they agree from beginning to replace the unit
..only by changing the motherboard the counter goes to 0
Great, then everything is sorted. I’m glad to hear that it worked out so quickly for you. ![]()
AP board resets hour counter.
besides that all the problems that came during the use of the printers
One would wonder why, if the printers all have problems, you would purchase one.
sorry ,you are right,my apologies
No biggie. I just know because I’ve done it. To myself. Three times.
