My new H2D so far so good minus a couple issues

Got my H2D couple days ago, pulled a shoulder muscle carrying it up a flight of stairs with neighbor. It is huge! I was mostly in bed with painful pulled muscle but finally got to set it up today.

  • First thing I noticed; build plate has a scratch in it. After I did the calibrations I noticed the scratch begins exactly where the print head probes. Could this have been a test that scraped the plate?
  • Next issue; a rubber piece fell off when I pulled out the foam on the left z screw. I think it goes inside on top of the screw?
  • Speed Race 23m Benchy printed the best looking 20m benchy I ever seen.
  • Printed a few 2-color propellers which came out as great or better than my P1S which prints as good as brand new with over 2000h.

[edit] Seem to be having a problem uploading pics. It seems to be stuck uploading.

Prints

My printer is printing a part, but I don’t see that cap yet. It’s possible it was just left in the printer during production they sometimes include caps and plugs in parts. I recommend contacting support, as they should have a parts list showing everything part that is used in the H2D.

Cool propellers :+1: and enjoy your new printer :grinning:

Thanks! Always learned a lot reading your posts!

Hey how do you turn the ams2 pro filament dryer on? I searched the Wiki and couldn’t find anything and the menu on the screen for toolbox only shows how to heat filament on the bed.

[edit] ok I found an answer here

When you access the LCD, select the third icon from the top on the left side for the AMS. Then, click on the ##% & sun shine icon.

Yes that rubber piece goes ontop of the lead screw under the plastic.

[edit] Thanks. I was able to get it back in there by loosening 2 screws for the camera housing which also holds the lead screw and put it back in there.

I also just noticed that the build plate is also scratched in the exact same way on the back side.
