So, had started a large print yesterday, mix of silk PLA and PETG for the supports, so both heads working on every layer. I found a flaw in my design that caused the PETG to not ”stick” to the part for beginning the support, tried a couple things and had to cancel the print. Did a reset, and changed how the supports go and let it rip. I started it last night and right about the same layer that I quite on the first attempt, extruder errors. Tried a couple different things but yep, the Extruder DOES have an issue and its not anything else, so going about taking it apart.
AH the joys of printing. At least I spotted the issue with the support design before it became a blob on the endo of the hotend. Will post back with the results, but I have a feeling it may need parts.
It’s binding right in that area where there is a screw in the Wiki photo. I had the head apart on the other machine, but that was so long ago I don’t remember what is in there and had to completely disassemble it back then to replace the heater. I don’t remember it binding like this.
I figured it out, there was a broken piece of filament holding it in place. I also noticed the left head has no filament in the nozzle other than what is on the end. Everything is moving smoothly, so going to clean it up and apply some lube and hope that resolves it.
