Need help for better ironing settings

I’m looking for some tips to improve my ironing, as my current approach clearly has issues. As shown in the attached image, I have multiple problems including unsightly creases and rough edges. Does anyone have any tips for improving the finish?

Additional Details

  • Printing on Bambu A1 with AMS Lite
  • Sunlu PLA+ filament, but same issues with other filaments that I have tried
  • Current ironing settings:
    • Ironing Type: Top surfaces
    • Ironing Pattern: Concentric
    • Ironing speed: 30mm/s
    • Ironing flow: 10%
    • Ironing line spacing: 0.15mm
    • Ironing inset: 0.21mm
  • Most other settings are slicer defaults

Ello!

Just did a quick read, these might be some solutions to your issues..

  • Increase top levels by 4-6 so the infill layers don’t show.
  • Set ironing around 20-30%, as sometimes 10% can be too low, and also decrease the ironing to around 40-60ms, 50 preferably.
  • Lastly, try the topmost surfaces as I sometimes see that makes a difference in print quality.

Let me know if this works,

Cheers, :crossed_fingers:
