Need help identifying a small metal ring I found

Hello, Can anyone identify what this is? I found a small metal ring in front of the back left idler motor as you look at the printer. Its blue coloured on one side and green on the other.

I have also had a minor issue where if I print a first layer test for example, the shape is not square to the plate. The plate is seated correctly, nothing is stuck under the build plate, tramming done and level and might be related, but if anyone can help identify the part, that would be great.

I don’t think that’s a part. It looks like filament, I get purges that thick when I use TPU silk filament which is a mix of tpu and pla. Normal silk also produces that kind of die swell.

That’s a good point, it feels like metal though but it could be that its just sat there for so long and I didn’t notice it

Heat it up and see if it melts = filament.
Just don’t go over 660C, aluminium will melt around there :slight_smile:
