[Slow down, you’re making too many requests.

I have been getting this message since late yesterday while trying to access this forum. I didn’t do anything unusual (definitely not anything such as freshing the page multiple times in quick succesion). It only happened on this forum, not on MakerWorld or BL Store.
I used VPN. But this message didn’t go away when I disabled VPN.
Anyone else in the US running into the same issue?
Same, and I dont use a VPN or leave anything running. Just opened browser, and when through the various sites and when I clicked on this one same message. Its them, not us.
Edge (no extensions) and Brave browsers on Windows, Brave on Android, no VPN. Single click on my bookmark, so only one request has been made from my IP.
I’ve also seen “429 error” on my phone, which a search says is the same thing.
A 429 “Too Many Requests” error indicates that a user or client has sent too many requests to a server within a given timeframe, exceeding the allowed rate limit. It is a server-side safety mechanism to prevent abuse or overload. Fixes include waiting for the Retry-After time, reducing request frequency, using a VPN, or clearing cookies.
Access via Edge was also blocked once by this message
It’s their gateway server/haproxy endpoint for the subdomain that is responding. They must be experimenting with something, not quite configured right.
It could be as simple as they changed an ingress router/reverse proxy and didn’t update the IP address in the software to ignore that one when doing the limit check.
Same errors here, as well as others intermittently (forum design but “Error” with sad face). Started yesterday. No VPN, various browsers. CTRL+F5 (reload bypassing cache) seems most reliable, though temporary, “fix” (perhaps gets routed differently based on new DNS lookup).
Apple Private Relay does this quite a bit. It is essentially a VPN/Proxy, so it makes sense why it happens. If you are on MacOS or iOS this may be the reason.
Yes. Over and over today. I thought it was because of iCloud Private Relay (a known Discoure forum config issue). But it also happens with other browsers and over 5G.
Happens both on windows and android as well, with or without VPN. Given the already large number of reactions to your post, I think it’s safe to assume that we owe this new and unexpected experience to Bambu’s IT department (possibly cloud sysops or netsec) latest “improvement” implementations.
I havnt seen that, but the last couple days I get this popup when logging in. This is new for me. My guess is that the site normally loads so fast that I dont see this.
Must be their way of trying to reduce bots traffic on their servers. Looks like they’ve went for a Cloudfare package, including CDN - content delivery network- and services, cloud cybersec, and DDOS mitigation. Might be that they’ve finally learned something…
