Just got my A1 yesterday and the first couple of small prints were not great, but ok.
Since then everything has failed.
When making a second pass of the outline of the first layer, you can hear it dragging through the filament that was already put down. When the second layer starts, it just rips up the first layer.
Things I have tried with no luck:
Factory reset
Printing from the printer, Bambu Studio, and Orca
Printing different things
Verified the screws behind the hot end heater are tight
Manual bed leveling using the screws
Cleaning the build plate with dish soap
Two brands of PLA (one is the Bambu sample) with the same results
I put in a ticket, but thought I would ask here while I wait.
Anything else I can try?
Here is a sample video of the Orca flow rate calibration.
I have tried the tramming process a few times with no improvement, but your mention of z-offset got me thinking. By adding a .2 offset in orca slicer my prints are looking much better.
I think I am on the right path now. I had hoped to set it up and have great prints, but from what I have seen that is not always the case. I spent enough time with an ender several years ago, a small amount of tweaking will not bother me.
thats definitely underextruding and looking like a partial clog. Did you try a different nozzle? perhaps a different size?
Been doing this for quite awhile now and seen a lot when it comes to troubleshooting. This gave me some nostalgic vibes of partial clogging, under-extrusion, low nozzle temp or wet filament.
Try to just heat up the nozzle also and manually extrude the filament and examine the nozzle. See what it does and looks like when extruding out. If you dont happen to have another nozzle then I’d use your clogging needle to clear the nozzle out
It turns out that the bad temp tower was because I miscalculated on the pressure tower test. I removed that setting and the tower is printing much better.
Mine is only dragging on the infill. I tried increasing Z-hop distance when retracted, G-code output reduce retraction is turned off…Nothing has helped. Dry filament, new nozzle, etc.
Did you happen to fix this problem? My A1 is also dragging on the infill and none of the “common” (z-jop, reduce retraciton, gyroid…) solutions are helping.
