New AMS 2 Pro & AMS Hub, now original AMS constantly loads/unloads

I recently installed a new AMS 2 Pro to my X1C Combo. I had purchased the AMS Hub alone with the power adapter for the AMS 2 Pro.
I installed the Hub, and everything feeds and prints fine from it. However, no matter what type of filament I put in the original AMS, it’ll feed it all the way to the extruder, but then it has issues it can never purge, almost likes it’s jamming at the extruder gears.
It then unloads all the way back to the AMS, and tries to load again, which it makes it all the way to the printhead then has issues.
Original AMS feed and printed fine before swapping the single buffer to the AMS Hub.

  • It can’t be anything with the printhead/extruder as everything loads and prints fine from the AMS 2 Pro.
  • Doesn’t matter what slot I load in the original AMS, all slots to the same thing.
  • Swapping the tubes into the Hub order doesn’t make any difference.
  • All tubes have been confirmed fully seated and not issues.

Things i’m going to try:

  • changing the order of the AMS’s, AMS 2 Pro is “1st” and old AMS is 2
  • Swap back the the single buffer and try both AMS
  • If original Buffer works for both AMSs (one at a time), i’ll just use a splitter before the single buffer and return the AMS Hub.

Seems like other people have had issues with the AMS Hub as well, but not my exact issue.

I ending up using the original buffer with the PTFE splitter from bambu lab. Everything works great now.
