New Bambu glue stick not working well

Is the new Bambu glue stick formulated for smooth PEI? Because it doesn’t work well on Engineering plate. Bambu glue stick from 7 months ago has never failed to stick the parts. The new one failed within 3 prints, near the end of 2 hours ASA print :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Glue stick is release agent, but something is different about the new glue stick. I’ve been printing the same ASA part on two P1Ps with Engineering plate for days (about 50 printed so far).

Everything is the same, except the glue stick. New glue stick, printed part pops very easily when the plate cools after less than a minute. With old glue stick, I had to bend the plates and use some force to get it off the plate; it sticks the parts much much better.

Try this:
Apply the glue stick as usual.
While it dries mix some white wood glue and water with a bit of ethanol or IPA.
About 30% glue, 60% water, 10% alcohol - not too critical.
Mix well and apply on the bed and on top of the glue stick using a soft sponge or similar.
Do not soak it and work quick.

Try a test print.
If this mix works much better you can mix your own - or try an aftermarket glue stick.

It is a bit worrying for this ecosystem that quality keeps getting changed up. The bushings on the X1C got changed, some filaments, and now this. Who knows what else.

I wish they would just stop. Are the pennies they save really worth cratering their reputation?
