Is it necessary to put glue on the new cold plate ?
I’m speaking about the “cool plate super tack”.

Yes you should apply a thin layer of glue

Are you thinking of the engineering plate?
If you are talking about the super tack pro smooth plate then no you do not need to. If the engineering plate then yes you do.
not in the new cold plate, but just check the recommendations in the bambu wiki. Everyone has their own experiences and you might start getting the six sense when you will need glue
If you are referring to the cool plate supertack* (probably) not at all, it is very grippy as is and glue will only make it dirty. It relies of pores for gripping AFAIK, and glue will clog them..
For PLA you can for most parts turn off the heating after the first layer, or even not heat at all.
(* i don’t see why so many ask if you are talking about the engineering plate when you are clearly writing cold plate..)
I’ve been printing for years at this point starting on an Ender 5 and I have never applied glue to any build plate and have been fine without it.
The engineering plate is to be used with glue, its stated on the info part of the buying page.
Glue on: Textured pei, smooth pei and engineering plate
No glue on: Both supertack plates

After few uses, I confirm, no need glue on the cool plate super tack. Without glue, this is enough difficult to remove printed items.
