New feature suggetion

I’m a regular user of Bambu Studio and Bambu Lab printers, and I’d like to share a feature suggestion that I believe would greatly improve workflow efficiency for users who frequently print multiple parts or plates.

Currently, when I have to print many parts (for example, multiple small models across different plates), I have to manually wait for one print to complete, then turn on my PC, open Bambu Studio, slice the next file, and send it to the printer. This process becomes repetitive and inconvenient — especially when each print takes around an hour, and I need to keep doing this cycle through the day.

It would be extremely helpful if Bambu Studio or the printer firmware supported a Print Queue system, similar to how an inkjet printer handles multiple print jobs.

Proposed Feature:

  • Allow users to add multiple sliced files to a queue within Bambu Studio or the printer’s SD/cloud storage.
  • After the first print finishes, the printer can prompt:
    “Do you want to print the next file in the queue?”
  • The user could then confirm (e.g., “Yes, bed cleared”), select filament if needed, and continue printing without needing to return to the computer.
  • This would make it possible to prepare several files in advance and let the printer process them one after another with minimal manual interruption.

The current “Reprint” option is helpful, but it only repeats the same file. A queue-based system for different files would be a major quality-of-life improvement, especially for users running small production batches or print farms with a single printer.

If this feature is already being considered or planned for future versions of Bambu Studio, I’d love to know more. It would truly make the workflow smoother and more professional.

Use this

Send a bunch to your printer. This doesnt start the print. Just loads it into the SD card.

When you crack the plate, You’ll still have to select what you think is the next one, but it’ll all be on the pad of the device, you wont have to walk upstairs to the PC.
