Installed the new Firmware this AM and did a print. I had at least 3 vicious rapids to the front corner that made an extremely loud clunk each time. I thought something was going to break. Anyone else with similar? The rapid to the front RH corner after the auto bed level/homing, its like its going too far and exceeding its limits. Right after that it does the vibration comp into purge line and print.
Update. I installed the previous firmware and all is ok again. I did notice with the new firmware, during a nozzle wipe, it missed the pad completely and was off in the Y axis. Wondering if that y offset was causing the loud bang when it would rapid to front RH side?
UPDATE #2 I upgraded to the 1.03 this AM, did the calibration, started a print and had the same slam during the rapid to the front RH side. I stopped the print and re ran it and watched. During the homing, I noticed when the head moves back for the y axis home it didnt move back far enough to toggle the filament cutter cams/levers. I stopped the print and did a manual home and it homed normally with the 3 Y axis movements for home, all 3 engaging the levers. I then started the print and the first homing appeared normal and didnt have the slam with the rapid to the front RH corner. I will watch all my prints forward with the camera on to see if this happens again. Wondering if its the firmware version or my machine having trouble with Y axis homing?
This is already the fourth print, and I havenāt noticed anything abnormal like you described.
I only calibrated the engine noises, as it was requested, nothing else.
Some messages from users when this firmware was part of beta testing. Not going to say your issue is what they said. Worth a read.
You will also find information on the increased movement speed of the toolhead, this was intentional (I guess people complained a lot about how long the printer will do preparation tasks before it starts the print jobš ).

I did the update this morning but nothing out of the ordinary other than BS shows I can send files to the printerās INTERNAL storage now instead of requiring a USB.
Also had to redo the motor noise compensation after the update and it originally said that the USB needed to be formatted but I just pulled it out for a few minutes and put it back in and itās been workign fine.
Just ran my full calibration and a print afterwards, but no collision kind of sounds here.
Certain rapid movements are definitely faster than before, but the move towards the right front corner (plate alignment check) is very fast, but no weird sounds.
I havenāt noticed your issue, however, ever since this update my H2D is not recognizing my USB drive. No more timelapses I guess, until that works again.
After the new firmware update, with full calibration, also factory reset, the tool head crashes in the front left corner with full speed. after that the error ābuild plate alignmentā¦,ā shows. when i start the print job again it is all normal.
iāve got a video, that shows the problem (and send it to bambu via ticket):
the sensorless homing of the y axis went wrong (i think the typical klipper value for sensorless homing ādriver strengthā has changed or sth.).
i can clearly see, that x is correct but y not. the nozzle did not wipe in the wiper area. it is about 1 cm in front of the wiper. and when the toolhead wants to look up the alignment, it crashesā¦.. really hard soundā¦..
When mine was not right, it did 2 incomplete Y axis homing attempts. Usually it taps the back side, and moves forward and the lever will index fully with each cycle, but when it messes up, the levers never index fully and it gets a bad location.
I posted another with a video I have of it. One user suggested to make sure there wasnāt anything stuck the to rear of the Y axis rail that would interfere with the bump. I checked mine, I thought I saw a strand of black filament, thats all Ive been using lately and I cleaned that area and it hasnt done it since. I also re did the xy belt tension adjustment after the whack to the front and did the full calibration again. Keep me posted!
I also started a ticket with the printer logs and a video that clearly shows the problem and first response I got back was it āsounds normalā then I replied to watch the video and they responded a second time and asked to see a video of it happening. I swear that someone who is no where near qualified is reading and responding to the ticket.
in my opinion it is totally related to the new firmware. in the last hours i downgraded and upgraded the printer again and saw, that the new firmware has another homing behavior.
to exclude as many mistakes as possible iāve done the following before:
cleaned the rods
oiled the rods
cleaned the anchor points in the housing
done the belt tension procedure
factory reset
full calibration
full calib in the menu (buildplate/vision encoder/nozzle)
i can reproduce, that in the newest firmware the first homing after a reboot is faulty (iāve done a video):
the foldable filament cutter is the problem. the last 2 or 3 samples of y didnāt go to the anchor point of the housing. it gets stucked before the filament cutter is in its unfolded position. (nice to know: the first attempts of y sampling it reaches the anchor point of the housing)
i still think that the ādriver strengthā parameter of sensorless homing is different in the newest firmware.
everyone who dealed with klipper and sensorless homing procedure knows this problem.
(or my filament cutter mechanism is broken But I donāt think thatās it.)

I did the upgrade then crash, downgrade everything ok, then upgrade and crash just like you. My filament cutter levers move freely and I think you are right that something is different with what ever feedback they use that tells that the head has hit solid for homing.
