I got my H2C up and running. My first color print failed, knocked a support tower over, but it wasn’t looking nice anyways. Can someone tell me what I need to tweak to fix the issues? It seems to be over extruding, the nozzles are dripping filament as it changes nozzles. Its also making strings on the prime tower, not so much on the object being printed. Attached is a photo.
I never ran into issues like this on my H2S, but I rarely did multicolor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also filament has been dried 12 hours at 65*c, it petg.
It’s due to the new prime tower features. It’s extruding a little bit before it hits the prime tower which leaves all those strings. You can disable them globally under the prime tower section of the others tab.
It’s supposed to improve prime tower stability during multi material prints. It’s called “enable prime tower features”. Disable it if you want to have a normal prime tower.
If flow starts once it’s within the prime tower perimeter, it leaves an irregular prime surface that leads to a greater chance of the tower being damaged or knocked over.
Starting extrusion early ensures the prime layer is consistent, so chances of an issue are greatly reduced.
