Bambu Support is utterly terrible so I’m hoping maybe someone in here has seen and resolved this issue before while I sit in support purgatory.
I received a new H2S combo earlier this week and upon setting it up and connecting the AMS2 received the following errors:
“AMS A The assist motor phase winding has an open circuit. The assist motor may. be faulty.”
and
“AMS A certification failed. Please reconnect the cable or restart the printer”
The first time I connected it, the AMS2 immediately showed up on the H2S touch screen GUI, but with the first message listed. Eventually the 2nd message about certification showed. Now, when I connect the AMS2 unit, the H2S will not even recognize it/won’t even show any error messages. It’s like the problem progressively got worse.
At first I thought this pointed to an issue with the AMS2 unit but being the owner of multiple A1s and an X1C combo I decided to try to narrow down the problem unit.
- Connected the new AMS2 unit to my X1C and it synced up and works normally
- Connected my old AMS1 unit to the new H2S and it does not work, with similar symptoms to what I’m seeing.
I feel like this is pointing to an issue with the H2S mainboard or whatever connector is being used to interface the H2S with the AMS 6-pin port. I have put all this information into a support ticket with Bambu but I am now over 4 days into it and have not received any response at all.
This is a terrible way to treat repeat customers who have obviously received a defective unit. I somewhat get support delays especially for situations where something being messed up could be the fault of the user performing non-ideal actions or something…but we’re talking about a brand new unit that is messed up upon arrival. These should be prioritized…anyway, enough venting about Bambu, hopefully someone else has seen this ![]()
