New nozzle issue

Hi, I recently replaced my nozzle (same size as original one). My P1s used to print flawessly and but I swapped the entire hotend and now my prints are trash. I ran all calibrations when I swapped the hotend, played with retraction and nozzle temp but nothing seems to work. For example, the picture is using PLA printed using the default generic PLA profile (but nozzle temp at 215). In the middle of the part I get these protrusion that look molten. The top surface is the only issue as the walls look very good. What is going on and how can I fix this? Thank you

You say you calibrated, but you didn’t mention which calibrations. What I see here is an incorrect flow ratio, which a new nozzle would affect if the diameter of the old nozzle and new nozzle were slightly different — for example, if the old nozzle had wear and was slightly out of dimension. This would produce a different flow.

Here are the flow rate test result. It seems fine at 0 though.

I don’t think I would be satisfied with this result if it were my printer.

However, have tried another filament? Have you verified moisture content by weighing, drying and weighing again. Also, did you run a temp tower? 215C is lot lower than I ever run my PLA, in fact, most I run at 240 - 255. It would be a quick test just to try running just the zero temp tile and leave the others unchecked.

I just loaded the filament in the dryer so I will verify that in a couple of hours.

Make sure you weight it first otherwise you won’t know if moisture was the issue or not.

I’d like to see better, smoother results from the flow test, but I think “0” is the best sample in the picture.

@Olias So I dried my filament for 6h on the PLA setting (whatever this temp is) and the result is no better. I increased the temp to 220 but I took another picture that shows that the sides of the part look good but the middle of the top surface is really rough. Could the nozzle be dragging?
