PLA does not require a heated bed at all, just a nice clean surface… And I have printed a ton of the built-in pre-sliced benchy in PLA along with pretty much all of the other inbox models on the X1 with no issues.
Well oddly I can get things to print fine when I set them up, Anything an the printer that they put on fails.
As a 50 year old Autistic adult with 2 Autistic children, it pains me to hear this response. For reference, I am a the Lead CNC Machinist/Programmer that works for the worlds largest industrial printing company. I own 31 non-industrial printers at home with a garage machine and woodworking shop. Started out as a homeless teenager after being adopted by Neurotypical adults that were terribly abusive. Autistic is not a negative, just a social obstacle that has to be managed. Not a flex… my IQ is 144 rated by the NYPSS after being noticed as gifted, but never diagnosed as Autistic. Please be more understanding. Some of us have a difficult existence and we are very compassionate towards others. My best to you and I pray this is received well. Thank you.
Sorry for going off topic. And another person on the spectrum.
Dave Plummer is well known to a lot of us geeks.
Highly successful Microsoft employee (retired)
The address they have in Hong Kong is FAKED!!!
Just check the cheap micro sd there not the best so maybe corrupt card…all of the ones on my card have worked every times so maybe im lucky
What SD card? there is only one in there because I put it in. So you are telling me that every sliced model they preloaded is corrupted in the exact same specific way that allows it to appear to be fine and print but for the fact that none of the prints have the right settings.
Unlike the average 3D printer enthusiast, I am primarily an electronics engineer, what you suggest is less likely than the earth being hit by an asteroid before I finish typing this response.
My X-1 CC was scheduled to arrive on 7/12 but was lost by UPS. On 7/14 I submitted a ticket to both UPS and Bambu Lab. UPS has since closed the claim due to a lack of response from Bambu Lab and I’ve heard nothing from Bambu.
@BrotherC Should I consider this to be a normal experience?
This thread smells so trolly. I hope I’m wrong
Ok so if firmware got switched go back in and down grade the firmware.
This is only a year old company, they are learning and if you would research and read more about them, you would see the CEO has addressed the issues you are talking about, they have been improving but aren’t going to over night.
I get it is frustrating, but cut slack. They aren’t theives, they are trying to figure all this out.
They are working on that but it doesn’t happen over night, and you are t the only one they are dealing with. They aren’t going to drop everything and turn all resources towards you.
Just like any brand new company or product there is always issues they ah e to over come, but it takes time.
And unlike your average electronics engineer i have worked within the IT industry for the last 40+ years bought up with zx80 zx81 sinclair amiga raspberry pi etc who deals with ■■■■ sd cards on a regular basis and tries to give out sensible contributions do not need to be patronised by said electronics engineer
So explain in detail how such an error, a corruption of the data can be so specific to be not catastrophic allowing a print to go ahead and repeat in each model in the same way. What are the chances of this very specific thing happening over the very obvious possibility that the settings are just wrong? people make mistakes. As in this case it is a closed system of, their printer, their models with slicer settings, their filament, outside influences on this are minimal, maybe there is something wrong with the electricity around here.
Oh so you are a programmer, hm, OK, yes I’m the guy that designs the stuff you drive to work before you get to drive it.
am just happy that my printer works fine at the moment and I am not in need of support from the producer. From what I have reading here there are many people pretty much unhappy with the type of support respectively time needed to receive a reply. Bambu wants to be a grown-up company but acts like one of many others in this market i.e. selling is topmost priority but keeping customers happy and same time letting happy customers spread the word of good printer plus good support is not the main subject on the agenda. They did add a new market the other day (Japan) plus new hardware just recently which obviously creates more need for people on the support site, but knowing of the difficulties to hire people it is a foreseeable disaster apparently happening right now again.
It’s a note to help them make their support efficient, which is very possible by batch answering the questions encountered in one email. Very easy fix. Not about diverting resources to one user.
6 years ago I used this lack of support to get a warm place in a company I still work at in a different position now. If you’re experienced in 3d printing and maintenance, I believe you can apply and it’s a good potential remote employment for those seeking an opportunity.
And finding a good person that will fit your company’s vision of how support should be done is not easy by any means. I was lucky to be able to shape my employer’s support department to a level above what I could potentially want at a small startup company - now our support is highly praised. ![]()
Heck mine broke in half the second day I tried to run it. Sad that big business uses cheep stuff!
Mine is 1 message per week, you lucky bastar*, XD
Yea, look at the rubber feet, they have a hole in them, why do I know that? well they came off, what is the hole for? a screw no doubt, one that they were too cheap to put in.
Yes the XYZ core of the machine is marvelous, but after that, YUK!
Now you are simply pedantically listing off every grievance you have with the machine. Something only a neurotic person would do really.
You are going to really complain about a generic rubber bootie that was bought in bulk with zero intention of adding more tap and die locations to their mass produced equipment.
Would you care to complain about all of China’s manufacturing techniques while you are at it? You seem really keen for the job.
