Hey guys,
I noticed with the latest itteration or Bambu Studio some printer setting features got remove, changed or added. But as usual there is no proper explanation what they do or any information available about it. Maybe someone could explain some of these features?
“Apply top surface compensation”
“Use cooling filter”
“Auto turn off filter on overheat”
I’d like to know what these do as well.
This is literally the only mention of it on the internet. Not in the release notes or github or anywhere that I can find.
Answer from Bambu Support:
These are our experimental feature options. The bottom two, which could potentially cause abnormal chamber temperature heating, have been removed. The compensation options above are still under testing and may not work, but they will not cause printing errors. You can choose not to use this option for now. We hope this top surface compensation will improve the printing quality of the top layer and reduce the occurrence of small holes in the future.
