Nope, I’m betting way less than $2000. The larger build area bumps cost maybe 5% Second head another 8% I’m going to say $1500. for a bare machine, no AMS. I’m assuming they don’t have a laser or other BS on it
Do you mean coreXY. or something else?
I think that if they priced their X1E so high, the H2D is not going to cheap. When you say 1.5k, than would be way to underpriced because the X1C right now is priced at 1.4k, so for a machine almost twice as good, I doubt is going to 1.5k. At least 2.5k is my estimate
That looks cool! Which company made it?
None, it’s a DIY project.
Ever checked out 5 axis?
letters
Yeah this is more along the lines of what I’d expect from “something people will want to watch” and “never before seen” (at least commercially) They could even add a scanner to make all the people who were insistent that the H2D will have one happy lol
Wow, they must be pretty smart!
Actualy the X1C is not 1.5 K, but 1.1K. 1.5Kits the combo with AMS, and he is referring to the bare machine, and it kind of make sense that the no laser version comes at 1.5K, if bambu aims to target the hobbiests (as that was always their claim) other than professionals.
This is extremely cleaver, although i can forsee some bed adhesion issues lol.
I’m not sure it’s a new market; Bambu said in the user forum that this as for prosumers.
I don’t imagine real pros have time to frequent user forms, they have businesses to run.
See above
As for the X1E and its pricing, that was intended for professionals and priced and supported (I think) accordingly.
Hopefully we’ll be pleasantly surprised by the pricing, like around $2K for the printer-only version.
My comment was made before the specs leaked and before we learned that it would not be suitable for an enterprise environment, but my point was simply that it’s seemingly designed for people that should know what they’re doing, not people brand new to the hobby, thus treating the customer like they aren’t stupid would be smart
EDIT: clarification and typos
Perhaps it’s semantics but doesn’t prosumer count as a new market for Bambu? My analogy still stands in that context as well. Bambu is going to be in for a rude awakening if they believe that he over $2,500 printer buyer is going to be satisfied with the level of performance in customer service that they provide the under $1,500 printer buyer.
Fair enough.
Just got me to thinking that I’m not sure what prosumer means, so I looked it up:
pro·sum·er
/prōˈso͞omər/
noun
-
- an amateur who purchases equipment with quality or features suitable for professional use.
“the magazine is aimed at the prosumer who uses a $10,000 camera to make home movies of his dog”
-
- a prospective consumer who is involved in the design, manufacture, or development of a product or service.
“a panel of prosumers weighed in on the plans for the new shampoo”
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Bambu thinks it means.
