New studio mouse ears

Hi, first post so be gentle

After having no luck resolving the floating cantilevers I adopted the new ‘mouse’ ears approach in the new version of the software. Managed to get a clear scan with no errors but after viewing the underside it doesn’t look like it’s attached to the actual bottom of the object. Am I missing something or is that how it’s meant to look?

Thanks

Mick

Brims usually work, and usually are actually attached, in spite of the gap. I don’t know how…

You can adjust the gap, or eliminate it if you find the need.

Thanks. After using Brims I was still getting cantilever error. I guess just printing it is the best bet and see what happens.

Oops, I missed that. Cantilever warnings indicate that you need to enable supports, else some part of your model will be printing in air. Brims increase the area on the plate to improve adhesion.

could this setting help ? with a cantilever, remove small overhangs Its one that keeps grabbing my attention but had no use for yet

Yes, thank you, I think that may have helped although the print time has jumped from 16hr to 1 day 6hr lol. Crikey
