New Studio update, cloned multiple models over top of each other

[Bambu_Studio_win_public-v02.00.01.50-20250328181949]

Hi fellow bambu buds,
I make kits in PETg and sell them online so I have all my plates set up and ready to go. This issue I ran into was driving me crazy the past few days. I had ran through at least 5 plates trying to troubleshoot my setting. I believe this weird issue also caused me to replace my nozzle one time because my X1C was trying to 3D print the same print within itself, so I’m sharing for awareness.

The biggest flag was the big increase in print time after slicing my plates. I thought maybe the studio update borked my settings.
I didn’t figure it out until I started dragging the models around one of the ready to go printing plates as seen in my video. There was at least two copies of each of the same model within itself. Kind of like 3D model inception lol.

Well this is my first post in here so hopefully I am not the only one and this helps out anyone else running into the same. Back 3D printing normally now after removing the unnecessary duplicates.

Just to be clear, you took an existing 3mf, loaded it into the new slicer and it now has extra objects in it? And some/all of those objects are coincident with existing ones?

Oh thank goodness I’m not the only one! I’m having that issue while trying to print for my P1S in Bambu Studio. Its been taking awhile for it to slice a single plate before popping up a “conflict in gcode detected” error. As you mentioned, able to drag an exact duplicate of the object off of the plate and delete it. simple fix, true, but annoying. For me, this is a file I had downloaded from makerworld, added a few objects to it, saved and closed. Its when I reopen the file theres suddenly duplicates of just about every object. I also just tried it out by deleting the extra copy on a single plate, save the file, close the program, immediately reopen the program, open the just saved file, and there it is duplicated yet again! I also checked other plates, and it seems as though every time I’ve opened up the file, every object has been duplicated one more time. Some plates that I’ve barely used in the file now have 5-6 copies for no good reason. I hope its a bug that Bambu can fix

This has happened to me as well—my objects always get cloned, and I’m really frustrated with new updates

yes, the reply from Vivi_t3ch explains it much better even though I didn’t add any new models to my plates but it is a non-issue for me now since deleting all the duplicates.

thanks for commenting so I know I’m not the only one. Hope so too! :+1:

I have had the same issue. I hope they can address it quickly.

To open the model:
Double-clicking on the .3mf file or importing
If I import the behaviour is not present.

Same here.

Opened an existing file and every object is cloned in place. Saved and opened again and even the clones are duplicated. I have 25 models on one plate that have been cloned to 100 after two saves.

This was raised as a bug GitHub · Where software is built

I just updated to 2.0.2.57.

Opened an existing file removed the clones and saved. I also imported models into a new project file and saved. Both files have the right amount of models and no automatically generated clones.

Looks like it might have been fixed in the new version.

I have that version and it is still a very annoying issue for me. It seems to do it over and over each time the 3MF is opened.
