New Textured gold plate adhesion problem

Hi guys!

Have some problem with my last two new x1c. They already came with textured gold plate. And it’s tottaly horible. I don’t able to print even one project.

For example today I’ve launched new printer - first print. And after more than half time of job one part of print just move from its place.

The same situation with another new one printer that we tested two weeks ago. We bought smooth pei plate for it because textured don’t working.

Some ideas what is going on?

I’ve had good luck washing with dawn dishwashing soap, rinsing thoroughly, and being mindful not to get my grubby little paws all over the plate after cleaning them and during print removal.

For the smooth plate, use glue(I use liquid, but I believe stick is fine too). It aids in prints sticking during printing, and mostly it aids in removal of print without damaging the applied sheet.

My textured plates stick good without glue while hot, once cool, parts release with ease.

There was a post here about very problematic adhesion to the textured PEI after getting some silicone grease from the Z-axis screws on it accidentally. It’s apparently almost impossible to get off by normal methods.

I don’t remember the details but special cleaning reportedly could get them back. I tried to find the post but my fu is poor this morning. Maybe someone else remembers details?

You may also have heat bed issues. A user was having print/adhesion issues and found they had a defect in the heater that caused a cool spot on the build plate. An IR thermometer and then IR imager showed it clear as day. I would think it’s a rare defect though.

And you could increase the temperature of the heat bed/build plate a few degrees to maybe get better adhesion.

It is recommended to follow this guide to ensure the plate is cleaned well with hot water and detergent.

It is also recommended to ensure the appropriate plate was selected in Bambu Studio.
