As Iāve said before, Studio works well in LAN-only mode. Iāve printed with no internet availability when the line to our house was cut by utility workers and also during our usual outages. Iāve also printed with the printer MAC address blocked at the router. No problems at all.
Handy and profile synching obviously need the cloud to operate.
P1 firmware updates still require internet access, but Bambu says update via SDcard is being developed. Existing firmware is quite usable, so I donāt see this as a big issue.

Bambu customer support is terrible and software updates are always bad.
My question to anyone familiar with the products is: is it possible to use Bambu Studio without an internet connection, and then just hand carry the micro SD to the printer?
The idea having to run models through the bambu cloud to print is a non-starter

I havenāt updated to the latest version of Studio but I think the answer is it works fine. You can print to a g-code file with Studio, copy those to SD, and then select those files to print. I use this for files I print more frequently.
But I canāt say there is no communication home to China when I do that. I have a number of China addresses dead ended in my local name server but they could just use hard coded IP addresses to get around that. I bet it would still work if isolated but canāt say for certain.
