New to different nozzles

So I recently got a .2 nozzle. Found a print and it came out awesome! I love it. Wanted to print something else. On the bambu handy. I have tye nozzle set to .2 for the device. The print profile says its for a .4 and wont let me print it from the app. Is there a way to use tye .2 nozzle still? Im think I have dont it on the computer. Just never used it on the app.

I don’t know that Handy lets you set things like the nozzle size. You absolutely can set the nozzle in Studio.

Handy is an odd duck IMO. They want people to use it but it lacks functionality. I only use it to monitor my prints.

Just checking, but the Handy app does read that you have the 0.2mm nozzle installed correctly?

If you go to Device → Nozzle & Extruder, there should be a “Nozzle Type” at the bottom.

It’s supposed to read that from the printer itself, but my Handy constantly loses connection and refuses to refresh, and only way to fix that is to force-quit the app and restart it.

Oh it registered it as installed. Even printed with it. But that model was set for .2. The other is set for .4. When I go to print it says its incompatible. So was wondering can I change the settings to use the .2 on the app?

Some to many filaments are not printable through a .2mm nozzle. Too thick, I think. I watch for limitations when shopping for custom colors, and types.

I use a .2mm nozzle for finer prints (I’ve been making various badges for my son’s jeep club.). But for many, the .4mm works OK.

One definite thing about the .2mm is it is noticeably slower because it is half the size of the .4mm. Which to me is a no duh! So I will change back to a .4mm for most printing.

But many filaments need a more generous .4mm nozzle.

As a side note: I tried a .6mm nozzle and don’t like it. I think a .6mm and a .8mm might be good for laying asphault.
