I am very very late with this but up until a few days ago i was still using the Original textured PEI that was released with/around the P1S (2023ish). With my recent P2S purchase i got my hands on the “new” Gold textured PEI and wow and i disappointed with how the prints look on it. Gone is the nice matte finish.

ANy recommendation for plates that look like the old textured PEI which is also very good at hiding the layer lines?
I have some fake H2D textured plates from temu and they look like the mate one, for some reason they work better than the genuine one (pieces pop easily when cold) in the genuine some little fragments get very stuck
I have the same issue. Have 3 A1 printers got the 4th this week and the pei plate is different more matted. Have raised support ticket to see if this is faulty plate. Did you get anywhere with yours??
I have not opened a ticket yet as this just seems to be the new norm.
I really liked the old matte looking finish that actually had some texture compared to the new glossy ones.
I won’t be buying any textured PEI plates anymore, that’s for sure, not worth the risk.
How can a glossy look from matte be in the normal range? This completely changes the look of the printed models.
