I am new to 3D printing and recently purchased a P1S with an AMS. I have a question and hope it is not too basic. If this post would be better suited for a different forum, please let me know and I will move it.
So far, I have been printing accessories for the P1S and my workstation (poop bin, dust covers, small tool cases, etc.). I have also printed a few simple multi-color models and have been gradually working my way up to more complex prints. Overall things have gone well, with only a few failed prints along the way.
Recently, I decided to try something more advanced and found this three-color bookmark, which seemed like a good test:
I printed it using Bambu Lab white, red, and black PLA. I opened the file in Bambu Studio, confirmed the color assignments, and started the print. However, when it finished, the bookmark was almost entirely white. There were faint traces of red, but most of it flaked off. I also noticed several pieces of mostly white (with a little red) purge filament in the poop bin, so it appears the printer was attempting to change colors.
Does anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong? I am using the standard 0.4 mm nozzle that came with the printer—could this model require a 0.2 mm nozzle instead?
