No wipe line with ASA prints with AMS HT and H2C

I am brand new to 3D printing and the H2C is my first 3D printer. I am having terrible quality issues when printing with Bambu ASA. I am using all the defaults for the filament set via the rfid / AMS and ‘out of box’ settings in Bambu Studio.

ASA has been dried to <10%RH and held there in my AMS HT.

From what I have read, I should get at least decent results with all the defaults. However I do see under-extrusion at times. The most telltale issue is the initial wipe line is either partial or missing completely. I have printed PLA and PETG with, overall, acceptable results using bambu defaults.

The nozzle temp is set to 270, bed to 100 and chamber to 65, all defaults. I see this with either the left or the right nozzle.

You can see where, right near the end of the wipe line, some filament started to come out, but then it was just a string over to the print itself.

Any clue why this would be happening (well, I guess it’s not happening)?

Welcome to the forum, Glad you’re here!! I have the same issues with ASA. I’m leaning toward it being a setting in the filament profiles but I can’t confirm that. Hopefully someone who has dealt with this will reply soon.

I noticed the same issue with ABS. The printer tries to print a line and it looks like it’s printing, but no filament is actually coming out. That said, my ABS prints are the highest quality I’ve ever achieved on any of my printers, so I don’t mind too much.

Isn’t this related to your uneven brim distance?

Same part but unrelated issues as the wipe line doesn’t print for any ASA part.

Is there any new information on this?

I’m having the same problems with ASA.

I am printing ASA and ASA-CF flawlessly with standard profiles on my H2D.

Has anyone tried the other nozzle to verify if it’s nozzle related?
