Noisy printing and vibration compensation

Hello,

I have some issue after moving to other appartment. Unfortunatly I also upgraded software of printer after I moved, so I cannot tell noise could be caused more by upbrade or physically moving printer.

Seems to be that noise is produced only when head of the printer moves diagonally.

Im attaching videos where you can alredy see that during vibration compesation something resonates creating not tipical “noise”.

Do you have any ideas what is it?

A P1S? The sides of the case.

This sounds like it’s caused by the grid infill. That causes over-extrusion at the crossing of lines.

Mine is doing this as well. I’ve change numerous settings. What would you suggest?

My first thought would be to change the sparse infill from “grid” to “rectilinear”.

Assuming that the grid infill is causing the noise.

I believe the sparse infill is set to rectilinear. I also noted the the sparse infill length was set at 400%. Will this cause the “drag” of the nozzle?

thank you for all of your asnwers, but still its not solving the noise from vibration compensation. That’s why I think that noise is not only from the infill.
Although because I wanted to have “mesh” infill is set really high.

Does your P1S run this vibration calibration cycle before every print?

My H2D does a very short calibration cycle of only 2 frequencies and takes about 1-2 seconds. This sounds like the full calibration that I can run on demand.

I don’t know if you can disable this from the firmware. Otherwise I hope they come up with a firmware update for this.

For me yes, it runs vibration calibration cycle before every print. Doesn’t bother me except now started to be loud with some frequency. Seems to be like something is broken. This is the issue :frowning:

Might be that you just need to tighten some screws or remove the front cover to see if that helps.
