Noob Question about print profiles from MW

It’s probably something simple I’m missing, but it’s super annoying whenever I go on MW and want to print something, is there not an option to download just the print file and not the whole 3mf profile? Every time I open one, it sets the filaments to whatever the maker has, and I have to re-sync back to my own. Not a huge thing, but it annoys me every time.

There are accouple ways to deal with this. Makerworld has the option to download the original model files that were uploaded by the creator or it can now generated the files if the creator didn’t add them. Just click the drop down next to “Download 3MF”

The other option is a bit of a work around and it is to drag the 3MF file into an already open instance of Bambu Studio with something already on the build plate (ie privitive cube). This will give you the option to import only the geometry from the 3mf file. Then you can delete the original (primitive) solid.

I don’t have the drop down like you show, it’s just a green box that says “download and open”

Please provide a screenshot of a model showing the thumbnails, profiles and green button.

The green download button on Makerworld is what Jon is showing.

You’re looking at the slicer. Look on Makerworld and it should say “open in bambu studio” or “download 3mf” or similar. There’s a little arrow at the end of that button you can click and it will show the options Jon is telling you about.

edit: sorry Jon I replied to the wrong person

Yea I realized I was always browsing MW through the bambu program, not the website. I see the drop down now. Wonder why it’s not also an option on the in-program version.
