UPDATE:
Bad news. I just finished another 8 hour printjob. The wear has worsened already. Debris on the rollers are back, and quite a lot. Additionally now I can actually see more hair and in numerous more places.
Left side of toolhead, upper belt.
Left side of toolhead, bottom belt.
Right Roller on X Rail , First photo is with toolhead positioned on the right of the rail, second is with toolhead all the way to the left. Notice how the belt moves up/down almost half a milimeter.
Debris build-up on the right roller, was cleaned RIGHT before this printjob was started.
Belt wear near the right Gantry Motor
Belt wear on the left side of the belts , bottom belt.
Again guys CHECK YOUR BELTS , this is important.
Are they too tight or unintentionally scraping against something?
Checked the belts on my P1S which I’ve put around 1800 hours on and here are some pics. Not sure if the inner wire showing is really that big of an issue, I’ve never had issues with my P1S.
This is some pictures of the belts on my H2D, has 197 hours on it.
After 1000s of hours its normal, will happen eventually. But not to show fibers from the first week of use ! Thats not encouraging, especially with how it contaminates the plate, chassis and rollers and the fact that this is usually an indicator that the gantry is not squared.
Not squared gantry means quality issues apart from preemptive wear.
Some of the issues regarding quality might as well be cause by this, at least thats what I observed on the rest of my CoreXY’s, and I dont see why or how it could be different in H2D, sure its advanced, but the motion system is still the typical CoreXY system
My belt has been rubbing the bottom of the idler since I received it. I submitted a ticket, and they said it was normal. Things print fine, so I haven’t messed with it, but I imagine I need to go through the belt tensioning procedure.
