Not able to remove PLA prints without white artifacts

whenever I print something in PLA basic/matte on my A1 the models are hard to get off. The build plate flexing method rarely works. I have to use some force and this usually leads to white marks on the part that was in contact with the textured PEI plate. Sometimes I can get rid of them with my heat gun, but not always. This really ruins the otherwise beautiful prints, especially if this side is the front side.

I have tried cooling the parts in the freezer for a few minutes, cleaning the build plate with IPA, using 3DLAC, washing the build plate with dish soap, etc. Dish soap is what yields the best results, but it doesn’t eliminate the issue and is the most tedious.

I don’t have this issue with PETG, actually they sometimes pop off by themselves if I put them in the cold.

I however noticed there is always some white residue left on the build plate, regardless what I print in. Do I need to clean it every time? I always make sure the residue is gone before printing.

Is there anything I can do? Is this normal? Am I doing anything wrong? I’m mostly printing from the Android app and using Bambu PLA.

I have this issue if the nozzle is slightly off-set and kinda grinds into the plate just barely as it prints.

Check if your nozzle is latched on correctly and then do a full calibration.

I suspect the PETG doesn’t do this as dramatically because its more willing to stick to itself unlike PLA as I had a similar issue where PETG and TPU were fine but PLA left weird artifacts.

What temperature is the bed when you try to remove the part? It happened here also - when I removed the printed parts directly from a hot bed. But never happened, when I remove the bed and bend it to remove the parts.

Adjust your first layer temps and/or speeds [down, likely], wait for the object to cool completely at the end, diagnose a faulty heatbed, ultra-dry your filament, all could be part of it.

The issue wasn’t that the nozzle was incorrectly mounted.

The heat bed can be completely cool (17*C) and it still happens.

I mostly print from the phone app so I have little control over temperatures, etc. And I buy Bambu Lab filament so that I don’t have to mess with the parameters.

After some more testing it seems the issue is mostly related to specific filaments, in my case I am facing the most issues with red and black Bambu Lab PLA, so it doesn’t seem to be a general issue with my printer per se. I recently bought a drier so I guess I could try drying those two filaments as a test. What do you mean by ultra-drying the filament?

Have you tried using glue stick? It helps prints release from the build plate and can easily be washed off of the print and plate.

Adhesion to the bed is too good. Play with the 1st layer settings until you get the desired result. As mentioned above increasing the speed of first layer should help. It will reduce the adhesion. Changing bed temp will also reduce the adhesion. Many settings to play with.
