…and not in OrcaSlicer?
I did the Max Flow rate, which is now in Bambu SLicer as of v.2.2.0.85, but it printed a bottom layer for the shape, wasting filament and time.
This bottom layer is not in this calibration in OrcaSlicer.
Does anyone know why the large bottom layer is in Bambu Studio?
No. I am talking about the layer at the bottom of the test object which is shown in the image. The image shows the bottom of the test object from BS.
Orca has a brim but no first layer covering the bottom of the test object.
I may not be describing very well.
BS prints this object in a way that it could hold pencils in it. With Orca, the bottom does not exist so that any pencils placed in between the walls would fall to the ground
It sounds like your saying part of the model didn’t print.
Do you have a link to the file…??
My guess is maybe this is supposed to be printed in Vase Mode.
I’ve noticed before that 3MF’s from BS don’t load the settings into Orca slicer.
Post picture of sliced model from Studio. It sounds like you expected the model to print with no bottom layer, just the infill?
Can you change bottom layers to zero? I just sliced it on mine and I didn’t get a bottom layer, just a brim. I am using BS 2.2.1.58
A brilliantly simple solution! I am a little embarrassed I did not think of it.
I will try it when I get home tonight (do not go rob my house just because you know I am not there…there is a very large dog guarding the place and he knows how to use a vacuum) and if it works like it should, I will come back and mark this as solved.
I make stupid jokes when a likely solution is found, especially when it is so simple.
