Labubu sales (and hype) are down. They’re trying to get back into the spotlight… somehow

My comment about this was always simply that they effectively sold Bambu Lab through the MakerWorld idea since MakerWorld went online. I may be right or I may be wrong — who cares, I’m not particularly interested in that anyway. Also with Fusion: something that is used privately but published publicly may no longer really be private.
The interesting point is that the first company pushing back is Chinese. I would have expected the first shots to come from the US. That now is may be less likely, since there isn’t much political protection at the moment.
There have been cases in other industries where disputes disappeared once someone started paying an attractive licensing fee — the music industry is a good example. In this case, however, I don’t think that will happen since they only have a small piece of the cake. It may simply be the beginning of the end and one rule should be untouchable. How is in the top of 3D printing - Auto desk by fusion and for sure not by Private Printers

Hank’s got the right key point here: This is chinese corp vs chinese corp; something actually might happen here. Will be fun to watch. All the previous drama and patent stuff has been just western/japanese industry issuing DMCA or similar, and ending the effort there.
