Nozzle cal. failure and strange start behavior

I had a weird thing happen that I’m not sure how to make sense of yet.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but I had a nozzle calibration failure so I tried to reprint with nozzle calibration and bed leveling set to auto, made sure it got to the bed leveling step, saw that it was starting that process then went to take the trash out while it did it’s thing. Came back about 20 minutes later and found the machine pressing the plate into the left nozzle at the approximate origin of the xy plane but really hard to the point that there was noticeable deflection, around 1-2cm.

Still troubleshooting this but I am curious if anyone has had this, or something similar, happen to them.

Update:

  • It seems as though the screw nut or something in that assembly got sheared off by the lead screw.
  • almost certain the front left lead screw stripped the nut attached to the plate. Now just gotta figure out why that happened.
