tl;dr: The nozzle heats up but the printer reports a temperature of 0C. I also get an intermittent error saying “The nozzle temperature is abnormal, the sensor may be open circuit.”, with code [0300-0200-0001-0007]. That error disappears after a few second, but then reappears after a few more.
I managed to clog the print head with filament and when removing the clog damaged the heating element. I bought a new one and followed the instructions on the wiki to replace it. As far as I know I did everything right. At the end it says check it’s working by setting the temperature to 100 and seeing what happens.
What happens is the nozzle gets hot but the device reports the temperature as 0C. If I change it in Bambu Studio the icon turns orange to indicate it is heating but the temperature is still not reported. If I set the temperature higher the same thing happens but it gets hotter. I don’t have a thermal camera so can’t check the temperature is actually correct.
It says
Check the Hotend Heating Assembly connector and confirm it is correctly inserted, as shown in Step 7. Re-connect all the cables
It is important to carefully align the connector pins to the Toolhead Board.
If the issue persists, the thermistor wires might have been damaged (white wires)
I have checked all the plugs are correctly reinserted, and can’t see any damage to any wires (white or otherwise). I have also checked the nozzle is seated correctly
When I first turn it on I get an error saying “The nozzle temperature is abnormal, the sensor may be open circuit.”, with code [0300-0200-0001-0007], but that then clears itself, only to reappear. What i am doing doesn’t seem to affect it. It seems to be 22 to 24 seconds between it appearing and it disappearing, and the same for it to reappear. Checking the code on the wiki brings me to this page, which is not about the A1 mini. It does, however have a section about the A1 series which says the error message is usually ‘Nozzle Temperature Malfunction’
Does anyone have any idea what I might have done? I’d like to print some things again…
